The Education Ministry will introduce compulsory coding and digital literacy classes from grade six under the updated national curriculum taking effect next school year.
More than 8,000 teachers will receive training during the coming holidays, and a tablet distribution programme will prioritise rural schools. Robotics clubs will be piloted in 500 schools in the first phase.
