Health Ministry Expands Free Screening Programme for Diabetes

Screening services will now be available at 400 additional clinics nationwide, targeting adults over 35.

The Health Ministry has expanded its free diabetes and hypertension screening programme to 400 additional primary care clinics, extending coverage to every district.

Adults over 35 are encouraged to attend annual screenings. Health officials said early detection rates have improved by 28 percent since the programme began, significantly reducing hospital admissions for complications.
