The national Computer Emergency Response Team has warned of a sharp increase in phishing campaigns impersonating banks and courier services. Reported incidents rose 60 percent in the last quarter.
The agency urged users to enable two-factor authentication, verify sender addresses carefully and report suspicious messages through its online portal. Banks have been asked to accelerate the rollout of transaction confirmation alerts.
